Intensia® Phlox are a group of cultivars from Proven Winners. They will reach around 16 inches tall and wide. They bloom best with fertile, dry to average moisture well-drained soil and full sun but are tolerant of some afternoon shade or filtered light through trees. They should be mulched to conserve moisture and deter weed competition. Over-watering should be avoided. They are colorful annuals that will bloom virtually all summer and come in many colors. With a little deadheading in August, they may continue blooming until frost. Intensia® Phlox is a good choice for a low-water garden or xeriscape. They are fragrant and attract nectar-hungry bees and butterflies. Use in the border or containes. Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems: Rabbit browsing can be a problem. Phlox bug and beetles.
