Dublin Bay is a hybrid climbing floribunda rose in the rose family (Rosaceae). It was bred by Samuel McGredy IV and was introduced to Ireland in 1979. Parentage is pink climbing rose 'Bantry Bay' and red climbing rose, 'Altissimo' This climbing rose will grow up to 12 feet tall with a 4-foot spread. It will do best in full sun in fertile moist well-drained soil. Prune diseased or damaged canes at any time. Prune in late winter to early spring to remove winter damage and control size. The red flowers are semidouble with a mild fruity fragrance. The foliage is glossy medium green on canes with spines.
