'Rhonda' is a hybrid climber in the rose family (Rosaceae) that was bred by Jack Lissemore of the United States in 1968. Parentage is New Dawn (large-flowered climber, Dreer 1930) × Spartan (floribunda, Boerner before 1954). This climber will reach heights of 7-10 feet and spread 4-6 feet wide. It will do best in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Avoid overhead watering and crowding to help prevent diseases. Prune in late winter to remove dead and diseased canes and to control size. Pruning will help to rejuvenate the plant and increase flowering. The flowers are medium pink with a light fragrance and are fully double. It may repeat bloom later in the season. Canes have prickles. Use this rose on a trellis, fence or other vertical surface as a specimen, for screening and privacy or in a cutting garden.
