A tropical evergreen bulb with hosta-like leaves; fragrant; can be grown in containers. Prefers 50% dappled or bright shade. Place the tip of the neck above the soil line, 4-5 per 6-inch pot with well-drained evenly moist soil. They flower best when they are pot-bound but bulbs do not like to be disturbed and should only be repotted when necessary. They are frost tender and can be injured below 68 degrees F (20 degrees C)

Normally blooms in winter but can be a seasonal bloomer 2-3 times a year by cutting back on water for one month. When new growth appears, resume watering. Flowers appear in clusters of 3-6 flowers that are daffodil-like, showy, fragrant, waxy white blooms. They are grown commercially for cut flowers.
