Family: Caprifoliaceae Non-native Shrub (3-15 ft)

'Red Prince' is a multi-stemmed, dense, upright, deciduous shrub that can grow to a height and width of up to 9 feet. Locating in full sun with provide the showiest foliage and blooms. The flowers that hold their brilliant red color bloom from late spring into early summer. It will occasionally rebloom in late summer to early fall with a lesser abundance of flowers. Its dense form, foliage, and blooms make this an excellent choice for a hedge or border. Blooming on old wood, pruning and shaping can be best accomplished after flowering. Pruning can also help to keep this plant as a compact specimen. Insects, diseases and Other Plant Problems: There are no serious insect or disease issues. It can be damaged by deer.
